Star Inn Hotel Guest Guide & Policies
Welcome to Star Inn Hotel. These rules apply to all guests, visitors, occupants, and anyone associated with a room while on or around the hotel property.
By making a reservation, checking in, signing the registration form, accepting a room key, entering a guest room, or remaining on the property, guests agree to follow these rules and policies.
Check-In / Check-Out
- Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM.
- Standard check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM.
- Late check-in after 11:59 PM may be available only if confirmed by the hotel.
- Guests must check out by 11:00 AM.
- Late check-out may result in additional charges unless approved by management.
Guest Registration & Identification
- Guests must provide accurate registration information.
- Guests must be at least 18 years old to check in and must provide valid government-issued identification.
- The registered guest is responsible for all occupants and visitors associated with the room.
- Only registered guests and approved visitors are allowed in guest rooms.
- Maximum occupancy limits must be followed at all times.
Payment, Deposit & Card Authorization
- Full payment for the reservation is due at check-in unless prepaid in advance.
- A security deposit or credit-card pre-authorization may be required at check-in. The current standard deposit/pre-authorization amount is $50, unless otherwise stated or approved by management.
- A credit-card hold or pre-authorization may be required or accepted in place of a cash deposit.
- The deposit or card hold may be applied toward damage, missing items, unpaid charges, rule violations, excessive cleaning, or other amounts owed.
- If the amount owed exceeds the deposit or card hold, the hotel is authorized to charge the payment card provided or authorized for the stay for the remaining amount owed.
- Any refundable deposit may be returned after check-out once the room has been inspected and no damage, missing items, unpaid charges, rule violations, excessive cleaning, or other amounts owed are found. Credit-card holds or pre-authorizations are released according to the card issuer’s or payment processor’s timing.
No Smoking Policy
- Star Inn Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property.
- Smoking or vaping is not allowed in guest rooms, inside the building, or anywhere on hotel property.
- This includes cigarettes, marijuana, vaping, e-cigarettes, and any smoke-like activity.
- Charges may apply for damage, odor, stains, burns, excessive cleaning, remediation, or other costs caused by a smoking policy violation.
Quiet Hours, Parties & Disturbances
- No parties, loud music, yelling, fighting, or disruptive behavior is allowed.
- Guests must not disturb other guests, neighbors, staff, or hotel operations.
- Management may require guests or visitors to leave if they create a disturbance, safety concern, or policy violation.
Visitors & Occupancy
- No unauthorized visitors or extra occupants are allowed.
- All visitors must be approved by management.
- Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
- The registered guest is responsible for the conduct, damage, unpaid charges, and rule violations of all occupants and visitors.
Pets & Service Animals
- No pets are permitted unless approved by management.
- Service animals are accommodated according to applicable law.
- Guests are responsible for any damage, cleaning, disturbance, or rule violation caused by any animal brought onto the property.
Safety & Prohibited Activities
- No illegal activity is allowed anywhere on hotel property.
- Illegal drug use, violence, threats, harassment, unsafe behavior, or abusive conduct toward guests, visitors, staff, or hotel operations is prohibited.
- Guests may not tamper with smoke detectors, security cameras, locks, doors, windows, plumbing, electrical systems/items, or hotel equipment.
- Fireworks, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, and dangerous substances are prohibited.
- For guest safety and property protection, security cameras may be used in common areas, exterior areas, and parking areas.
Employee-Only Areas
- Guests and visitors may not enter laundry rooms, storage rooms, utility rooms, supply closets, maintenance areas, or other employee-only areas.
- Unauthorized access may result in removal from the property or additional charges.
Fire Safety & Room Appliances
- Cooking is not permitted in guest rooms or elsewhere on hotel property unless specifically authorized by management.
- Open flames, candles, incense, portable burners, portable stoves, hot plates, electric burners, air fryers, toaster ovens, deep fryers, grills, and any other open-flame, flame-producing, cooking, or heating devices are not permitted in guest rooms.
- Guests may use only appliances provided by the hotel.
- Violations may result in charges, removal from the property, or cancellation of the stay.
Room Entry
- To keep rooms safe, clean, and properly maintained, hotel staff may enter guest rooms when reasonably necessary for housekeeping, maintenance, repairs, emergencies, guest welfare, safety concerns, or other lawful hotel purposes.
Room Condition, Damage & Missing Items
- Guests must keep rooms and hotel property in reasonable condition.
- Guests should promptly report any cleanliness concerns, damage, missing items, or maintenance issues noticed upon check-in so the hotel has an opportunity to address them.
- Failure to timely report issues that could reasonably be noticed at check-in may be considered when evaluating responsibility for later damage or missing items.
- Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear, missing items, excessive cleaning, stains, burns, unpaid charges, and rule violations caused by themselves, occupants, or visitors.
- Charges may apply for damaged furniture, damaged fixtures, missing towels or linens, damaged bedding, broken doors or locks, plumbing damage, electrical damage, excessive cleaning, or other hotel property damage.
Lost & Found / Abandoned Property
- Lost-and-found items are generally held for 14 days.
- Items left behind after check-out may be treated as lost or abandoned property and handled according to hotel policy and applicable law.
- Guests should contact the hotel promptly regarding lost items.
- Guests are responsible for providing accurate contact information.
- The hotel may attempt to contact the guest using registration information.
- Unclaimed items may be discarded, donated, recycled, or otherwise disposed of after the holding period.
Parking, Vehicles, Bicycles & Guest Property
- Parking is provided as a convenience and is at the guest’s own risk.
- Guests using on-site parking may be required to provide vehicle information, including license plate number.
- The hotel is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any guest property brought onto, stored, parked, or left anywhere on or around the hotel property, including vehicles, bicycles, and vehicle contents, except as required by applicable law.
- Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings and should not leave valuables, money, jewelry, documents, electronics, or other personal property unattended.
Refunds, Cancellations, No-Shows & Early Departure
- Refunds, cancellations, no-shows, and early departures are handled according to the reservation terms, hotel policy, booking source, and applicable law.
Guest Conduct & Enforcement
- Violation of hotel rules may result in warning, additional charges, cancellation of stay, removal from the property, or contact with law enforcement, subject to applicable law.
- Star Inn Hotel reserves the right to refuse service, deny accommodations, cancel reservations, or remove guests for lawful reasons including nonpayment, policy violations, property damage, unsafe behavior, unlawful conduct, disturbances, or interference with hotel operations.
- Star Inn Hotel does not discriminate and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Privacy & Guest Information
- Guest information is collected for reservation, registration, payment, safety, and hotel recordkeeping purposes.
- Guests are responsible for providing accurate contact, vehicle, occupancy, and payment information.
